Developing models of the evolution of gas and chemical composition of spiral galaxies disks, taking into account large scale instability of galactic gaseous disks and other triggering mechanisms.
Devising new methods to determine extragalactic distances based on the criterion of large scale stability of galactic gaseous disks.
Studying spectral properties of new astronomical photoplates.
Observing different telescopes 0.6-1.5m (spectral and CCD photometry of galaxies).
Processing CCD photometry data (using IDL and MIDAS).

Exploring evolution of kinematics, the density of the gas, and the chemical composition of spiral galaxies, taking into account the accretion and outflow of intergalactic gas and large-scale gravitational instability of gaseous and stellar disks.Investigating of different triggering mechanisms of starburst.
Additionally, researching of the evolutionary specialities of LSB galaxies.
Researching different SF indicators.
Comparing SF indicators in different conditions and IMF.
Studying SF threshold using optical and infrared multicolor photometry data.
